A made-to-measure book
Four syllables for Olivia, one heartbeat for Livvy — her book has room for both
Olivia is the name on the birth certificate — four unhurried syllables; Livvy is the one whispered at bedtime. A personalized storybook is one of the few places where both fit on the same page: the full name in proud cover lettering, the everyday one woven through the story she'll ask for again and again.

Why Olivia's name was made for a title page
Some names have to be squeezed into a book title. Olivia settles into one like it was typeset there from the start. It opens on a round, generous O — the letter children learn to draw first, a shape a five-year-old can spot across a bookshop — and closes on a soft -ia, the same musical ending that has kept names like Sophia and Amelia on bestseller covers for a century. Say it aloud and it rolls out in four even syllables with the stress landing gently in the middle: o-LIV-ia. Editors have long known that names ending in an open vowel read beautifully in a title, which is part of why Olivia has never really left the bookshelves.
Then there is the other name — the one no school register ever sees. At home she isn't four syllables; she's Livvy, said in one warm beat while tucking in the blanket. A picture book made for her is one of the rare objects that can honor both versions of her at once: Olivia in the printed title she'll trace with a finger, and the story itself pitched at the girl who answers to Livvy. When she hears her own name arrive in the middle of a sentence — not a princess's name, not a borrowed heroine's, hers — the story stops being something read to her and becomes something happening around her. For a girl whose name already sounds like it belongs to a heroine, that moment lands especially hard: nothing about the title needs explaining, and nothing about it feels borrowed.
Where Olivia comes from — an olive branch, a countess, and a quiet takeover
Olivia grew out of the Latin oliva — the olive tree, whose branch has stood for peace since antiquity. So tucked inside the name is one of the oldest gentle symbols humans have: an offering of calm, which feels about right for a name so often murmured over a sleeping child.
The form we use today was made famous by William Shakespeare, who gave it to the beautiful, strong-willed countess in Twelfth Night around 1602. His Olivia runs her own household, refuses the suitors she is told to accept, and falls in love entirely on her own terms — not a bad patron for a small girl's bookshelf. For most of the four centuries since, the name stayed pleasantly uncommon, a name you'd meet in novels more often than in classrooms.
Then, within a single generation, Olivia quietly conquered the English-speaking world. It has ranked as the number-one girls' name in the United States for five straight years, and in the same era it has topped or crowded the top of the charts in England, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Part of the secret is that Olivia travels without a passport: it is spelled exactly the same in English, Spanish, Italian, German, French and Polish, so grandparents on any side of any family pronounce it without a stumble — a real advantage in families spread across borders. Very few names manage to be this fashionable and this classic at the same time; Olivia carries a four-hundred-year literary pedigree and still tops today's charts, and both halves of that sentence are rare on their own.
Livvy, Liv, Ollie — the many sizes of one name
- Livvy — The bedtime size of the name — doubled v, quick and warm. It's the form families tend to settle on for the preschool years, and the one that fits best inside a story meant to be read aloud at seven in the evening.
- Liv — The name pared down to a single syllable. It carries a bonus: in Norse, Liv is an independent name meaning "life" or "protection," so the shortest version of Olivia secretly has the biggest meaning.
- Livy — One v instead of two, and suddenly she shares a name with the great Roman historian. A nickname with a toga — good for the year she starts asking how everything began.
- Ollie — The tomboy cut of the name, borrowed from the front instead of the middle. It's the form she'll share with the Olivers on the playground — and the one that suits a girl in an engineer's cap on a tractor.
- Via — The rare tail-end nickname, kept alive by families who like that it's also the Latin word for "road." A quiet option to grow into rather than out of.

Over 1,200 books starring their very own hero
My daughters love the book! We read it every evening before bedtime. The story is so sweet and lovingly written, and the pictures are beautiful. My girls feel really special because their own name appears in the book. A great keepsake forever! Absolutely recommend. ❤️
We got the book as a birthday present and it turned out perfectly. The print quality pleasantly surprised me – hardcover, nice paper and illustrations printed in fine detail. The characters are drawn so well that my daughter recognized her sister, me, the giraffe and herself :) She really likes the story and now it’s her favourite book, we read it almost every evening. On top of that, it will remain a lovely keepsake that she’ll come back to even in a few years. I definitely recommend it.
The book was a gift… I’ll find out how happy it makes them… but it’s very beautiful
I have the books ready as a gift, so I’m already looking forward to handing them over
An absolutely stunning book made to order. It's not only a beautiful gift, but a keepsake for a lifetime. Our sons are thrilled. Not only did they find “themselves” in the book, but the whole story also takes place in their favourite place, which is the ice rink. The whole book is accompanied by wonderful pictures, and the dedication from us, the parents, is just the cherry on top. I warmly recommend it. Not only will all the “heroes of the book” be thrilled, but so will you, as soon as you see the book with your own eyes :)
Our daughter was absolutely thrilled, she looked through it several times in a row and declared that it's pretty, she hasn't had enough of it yet and we read it every day before bedtime.
The book is very nice. The pictures look very nice, they're not blurry. The book really made us happy.
Very beautiful book, I always have trouble choosing in a bookshop, something bothers me about every one, or I can't find a theme I'd want.. here I can make up anything
A great, sweet and inspiring book that won us over from the very first pages! ❤️ The story of Алекс and Марая inspired us to go to the forest together, to enjoy the autumn beauty, to learn more about the animals and their food, to collect pine cones, hazelnuts, acorns and chestnuts and to create a wonderful autumn decoration at home. 🍂🍁 We love books that we don’t just read, but turn into real family adventures! Thank you for this magical experience! 🥰
The book is just as I imagined it. It's a present for under the Christmas tree, so we'll see how the grandkids like it ♥
The book for my grandson’s christening arrived and I’m thrilled with it. I’m already looking forward to us flipping through it together as soon as he grows up a little. It’s great that you can also add a favourite thing or toy and it gets worked into the story. It’s great!!!
The book is very nice, it was bought as a gift, so Maťko hasn’t seen it yet

Yes — the hero is created from a single photo you upload, so the girl in every illustration carries your daughter's real likeness, not a generic stand-in with the right hair color. That flash of recognition on the first page — "that's me!" — is the whole point of the book.
