Question 1

How does a book with a child's name work?

Accepted Answer

You type in a name and upload one photo. The name appears in the title and throughout the story, and the main hero takes on your child's likeness. You pick a world, a plot and an illustration style. Then you browse the finished book online, fine-tune the text, and can order a printed copy.

Question 2

Can I get the book printed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once your e-book is ready, you can order a printed copy anytime — a full-color A4 hardcover, shipped right to your door. Perfect when the book is meant to last as a gift, not just live as a file on your phone.

Question 3

How much does the book cost?

Accepted Answer

The digital book is $7.99 — you can flip through it online, download it as a PDF, and optionally add an audiobook for $3.99. The printed A4 hardcover is $32.99 plus $5.99 shipping. You'll find everything laid out in our pricing overview.

Question 4

What exactly do I get when I order a book?

Accepted Answer

A digital book made just for you: flip through it online in the reader, download it as a PDF, and optionally add an audiobook for $3.99. Once your digital book is ready, you can order the printed version — a large A4 hardcover book with full-color printing — for $32.99 + shipping.

Question 5

Will I see a preview before I pay?

Accepted Answer

Before you pay, you see exactly what your book will be made from: your heroes based on your photo, the world and plot, the illustration style, and the suggested title with a synopsis. You can also flip through finished books from other parents in our Examples.

Question 6

How long does it take for the book to be ready?

Accepted Answer

We start working on your book the moment you order. It's usually ready within 15 minutes — we'll e-mail you as soon as it's ready to flip through.

Question 7

What kind of photo should I upload?

Accepted Answer

A sharp portrait with good lighting and the face clearly visible — and just one person in the photo. JPEG or PNG up to 8 MB; you can fine-tune the crop right in the wizard. The photo doesn't have to be perfect — the AI uses it to create an illustrated hero, not a copy.

Question 8

Can the book feature several children or the whole family?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can add up to 5 characters to the book, including up to 3 main heroes. The main hero needs a photo; for supporting characters it's optional (though it does help with the likeness).

Question 9

Can I edit the book's text?

Accepted Answer

Yes, anytime. Sign in, open the book in the editor, rewrite any text you like, and the PDF regenerates on its own (usually 1–2 minutes). You can pick a different font, too.

Question 10

What happens to the photo I upload?

Accepted Answer

We use your photo solely to create the illustrations for your book. It's kept in private storage (it's never publicly accessible), we don't share it, and we don't use it to train AI. We'll delete it on request — you'll find the details in our Privacy Policy.

Question 11

What age is the book suitable for?

Accepted Answer

You enter your hero's age during creation and we adjust the length and vocabulary to match — from short tales for the littlest ones (0–1, 2–5) to longer stories for school-age kids (6–8, 9–12).

Question 12

Can I return the book?

Accepted Answer

Each book is made to order for one specific child, which is why both the digital and printed versions fall under the statutory exemption from the right to withdraw — they can't be returned without giving a reason. But if your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or something just isn't right, we'll sort out a fix or a brand-new copy at our expense. Just drop us a line — we handle every claim fairly and fast.
