Yes — grandma (or grandpa) can appear in the book right alongside the grandchild. You can add up to 5 characters, up to 3 of them as main heroes, so both of them can easily be main heroes. A main hero needs a photo; for supporting characters it's optional (but it helps them look the part). Then, on top of the world and plot you pick, add your own theme or plot twist in a few words — like special moments spent with grandma.

How do I create a book?

In just a few minutes, in five steps: add your heroes and their photos, pick a world and a plot, choose an illustration style, fill in the details (language, dedication), and place your order on the summary page. Then we get to work.

What kind of photo should I upload?

A sharp portrait with good lighting and the face clearly visible — and just one person in the photo. JPEG or PNG up to 8 MB; you can fine-tune the crop right in the wizard. The photo doesn't have to be perfect — the AI uses it to create an illustrated hero, not a copy.

Can the book feature several children or the whole family?

Yes! You can add up to 5 characters to the book, including up to 3 main heroes. The main hero needs a photo; for supporting characters it's optional (though it does help with the likeness).

Can a pet or a favorite toy be the hero too?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a character can be a person, an animal, or a thing. A puppy or a teddy bear can happily be the main hero alongside your child; a thing (say, a beloved toy car) appears as a supporting character.

Can I add my own dedication?

Yes, the book has a dedication page — write up to 300 characters, or let the AI suggest a few options and pick your favorite. And if you forget the dedication while creating the book, you can add it anytime later in the editor.

You enter your hero's age during creation and we adjust the length and vocabulary to match — from short tales for the littlest ones (0–1, 2–5) to longer stories for school-age kids (6–8, 9–12).

20 styles — cinematic 3D, watercolor, classic fairy tale, comic book, anime, colored pencil, claymation, and more, each with samples. Your chosen style stays consistent throughout the book.

Can I write my own story?

You build the story from our worlds and plots, then add your own ideas — a custom theme, your own plot twist in a few words, and a personal detail (a pet, a toy, something your child is learning right now…). Pasting in a fully custom text isn't possible yet, but you're free to edit any of the finished book's text.

We start working on your book the moment you order. It's usually ready within 15 minutes — we'll e-mail you as soon as it's ready to flip through.

Why doesn't the character look exactly like the photo?

Accepted Answer

The AI creates an illustrated hero based on the photo — capturing the hairstyle, hair color, and expression — but it's an illustration, not a photorealistic copy. If the likeness is off, regenerate the illustration with a single click, or try uploading a different photo.

Can I pause and finish the book later?

Accepted Answer

Yes, your book in progress is saved as you go. Without signing in, you'll find it in this browser for another 30 days; with an account, it's waiting in My Books with a “Continue” button, from any device. You always have one book in progress — starting a new one picks up where you left off.

Do I need an account to create a book?

Accepted Answer

No — you can create and buy a book without registering; all we need is an e-mail address to send your finished book to. An account (e-mail + password, or Google) is worth having, though: it keeps all your books in one place, and text edits and illustration regenerations only work when you're signed in. Books created in your browser link to your account automatically.

Can I change the book's title?

The AI suggests a title in the summary before you pay — you can have it generate more options or rewrite it entirely yourself. Once the book is created, the title on the cover can no longer be changed, so fine-tune it before you order.
