A made-to-measure book
Luna is the one name whose meaning rises outside the bedroom window every clear night
Point at the evening sky and you have already explained her name. This is a book where that moon-name takes the leading role — printed across the cover and woven through every page of a story that belongs to your Luna alone.
LUNAand the Little Red Tractor
Here's how a book for Luna could look
Pick a theme, upload a photo, and your child becomes the hero of the story — with their name on the cover and inside.
LUNAand the Rocket at the Edge of the Stars
LUNAand the Night of Golden Sparks
LUNAand the Bravest Cape on the Street
The covers above are samples — the illustrations were created by artificial intelligence and the children in them aren't real. Your book is made from the photo you upload.
A name the night sky already knows
Some names need a story invented for them. Luna arrives with one attached: she carries the old word for the moon, so the moment her name lands on a book cover, the cover starts to glow a little. "Luna and the Night of Golden Sparks" doesn't read like something generated to order — it reads like a storybook that was always going to exist, because "Luna and..." is how half of children's literature about the night sky begins anyway. No other name on the shelf gets that head start.
And bedtime is the part of the day this name owns outright. The last story is read under a lamp while the real moon stands outside the window — and in this book, the girl on the page and the light over the house share a name. When the chapter ends, you can close the covers, pull back the curtain and show her that her namesake is still up there, keeping watch. Few names close the day in a full circle like that; Luna does it every clear night, without the book even trying. Even the dedication page works harder with a name like this: "To our Luna" reads like the first line of a poem before the story has even begun.
From a Roman goddess to the top of the name charts
Luna is Latin, plainly and beautifully: it is simply the Roman word for the moon. The Romans made her a goddess too — Luna drove her chariot across the night sky and had her own temple in ancient Rome. And unlike most ancient names, the word never retired: it still means "moon" in Italian and Spanish today, so a girl called Luna carries a living word, one that millions of people say every evening without knowing they are saying her name.
A generation ago, Luna was a rare, slightly bohemian choice. Then came the 2010s: dreamy, unshakeable Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter books turned it into the name of the girl who isn't afraid to be different, and parents followed. By the early 2020s Luna had climbed into the top ten girls' names in the United States and reached the very top of the charts in Spain and in parts of Belgium and the Netherlands — one of the fastest rises any girl's name has made this century. It travels well, too: pronounced the same easy way in English, Spanish, Italian and Czech alike, it never needs spelling out twice. A name that works in every language and points at the same moon from every country is a small piece of luck to grow up with.
Science kept the name, too. When the first spacecraft in history reached the moon in 1959, it was called Luna 1, and the whole pioneering programme that followed flew under her name — so before Luna was a girl in a storybook, she was the name stamped on humanity's first visit to another world. Nature signed up as well: the luna moth, with its pale-green wings and long trailing tails, is often called the most beautiful moth in North America. Goddess, spacecraft, moth, and the moon itself — not many five-letter names come with a supporting cast like that before the story has even started.
The little names inside Luna
- Lu — The quick everyday short — one syllable for calling up the stairs, signing birthday cards and hurrying small feet out the door.
- Lulu — The doubled, giggly version for silly moments at home. Plenty of Lunas answer to Lulu right up until school, when the grown-up full name takes over.
- Lunita — The Spanish diminutive, literally "little moon" — a favourite with grandparents and in families with Spanish-speaking roots.
- Moonbeam — The translated pet name for families who love the meaning as much as the sound — usually reserved for bedtime, which is exactly where this name belongs.

My daughters love the book! We read it every evening before bedtime. The story is so sweet and lovingly written, and the pictures are beautiful. My girls feel really special because their own name appears in the book. A great keepsake forever! Absolutely recommend. ❤️
We got the book as a birthday present and it turned out perfectly. The print quality pleasantly surprised me – hardcover, nice paper and illustrations printed in fine detail. The characters are drawn so well that my daughter recognized her sister, me, the giraffe and herself :) She really likes the story and now it’s her favourite book, we read it almost every evening. On top of that, it will remain a lovely keepsake that she’ll come back to even in a few years. I definitely recommend it.
The book was a gift… I’ll find out how happy it makes them… but it’s very beautiful
I have the books ready as a gift, so I’m already looking forward to handing them over
An absolutely stunning book made to order. It's not only a beautiful gift, but a keepsake for a lifetime. Our sons are thrilled. Not only did they find “themselves” in the book, but the whole story also takes place in their favourite place, which is the ice rink. The whole book is accompanied by wonderful pictures, and the dedication from us, the parents, is just the cherry on top. I warmly recommend it. Not only will all the “heroes of the book” be thrilled, but so will you, as soon as you see the book with your own eyes :)
Our daughter was absolutely thrilled, she looked through it several times in a row and declared that it's pretty, she hasn't had enough of it yet and we read it every day before bedtime.
The book is very nice. The pictures look very nice, they're not blurry. The book really made us happy.
Very beautiful book, I always have trouble choosing in a bookshop, something bothers me about every one, or I can't find a theme I'd want.. here I can make up anything
A great, sweet and inspiring book that won us over from the very first pages! ❤️ The story of Алекс and Марая inspired us to go to the forest together, to enjoy the autumn beauty, to learn more about the animals and their food, to collect pine cones, hazelnuts, acorns and chestnuts and to create a wonderful autumn decoration at home. 🍂🍁 We love books that we don’t just read, but turn into real family adventures! Thank you for this magical experience! 🥰
The book is just as I imagined it. It's a present for under the Christmas tree, so we'll see how the grandkids like it ♥
The book for my grandson’s christening arrived and I’m thrilled with it. I’m already looking forward to us flipping through it together as soon as he grows up a little. It’s great that you can also add a favourite thing or toy and it gets worked into the story. It’s great!!!
The book is very nice, it was bought as a gift, so Maťko hasn’t seen it yet

It is the Latin word for the moon, and the name of the Roman goddess who drove the moon across the night sky. The same word still means "moon" in Italian and Spanish today, so the meaning isn't buried in a dictionary — it's alive in the sky every evening.
