A made-to-measure book
A thousand years ago, Henry meant 'ruler of the home' — one look at your living room says it still does
Upload one photo and Henry — or Harry, if that's who he is at home — becomes the hero of his own illustrated storybook, with his name set into the title and his face in the pictures.

Here's how a book for Henry could look
Pick a theme, upload a photo, and your child becomes the hero of the story — with their name on the cover and inside.
HENRYand the Fawn from the Sunlit Meadow
HENRYand the Friend by His Side

The covers above are samples — the illustrations were created by artificial intelligence and the children in them aren't real. Your book is made from the photo you upload.
Why Henry belongs on a book cover
Some names need a subtitle to explain themselves. Henry doesn't. Five letters, two syllables, at home on a book spine since spines were invented — and it comes with a built-in double life: Henry on the school register, Harry at the kitchen table. When you build the book, you decide which of the two belongs on the cover. If he has only ever answered to Harry, the title can say Harry, and the story will follow.
A boy called Henry meets his name in print more often than most: there's a gloriously Horrid Henry, an anxious green railway engine called Henry, Beverly Cleary's sensible Henry Huggins. Every one of them is somebody else. This book is the first where Henry is the actual Henry — his face in the illustrations, drawn from one photo you upload, his name set in the title, and beside him whoever he'd genuinely want along: a little sister, a best friend, the dog.
You choose the world to drop him into, and the name holds its own in all of them — Henry sounds right buckled into a rocket, right in a wizard's cloak, right kneeling in a meadow next to a fawn. That's the quiet advantage of a thousand-year-old name: it has been carried by kings, explorers and small boys with pockets full of gravel, and it has never once sounded out of place.
Where the name Henry comes from
Henry started life as the Germanic Heimirich — heim, meaning home, and rīhhi, meaning ruler. 'Ruler of the home' is the kind of meaning that sounds grand in a baby-name book and turns out to be plain reporting once the child can walk. The name crossed to England with the Normans as Henri, and English tongues promptly wore it down to Harry — for centuries that was simply how Henry was said out loud. When Shakespeare's soldiers cry 'God for Harry, England and Saint George!', the king they are cheering is a Henry.
Eight kings of England carried the name, which is why it never reads as an invention, and the explorers kept up the reputation: Prince Henry the Navigator sent ships down the coast of Africa without ever leaving Portugal, and Henry Hudson sailed far enough north to get both a river and an enormous bay named after him. The name's most unexpected honour, though, is scientific: the henry is the official international unit of electrical inductance, named after the American physicist Joseph Henry. Not many boys get to hear their name in a physics lesson, said with a straight face, as a unit of measurement.
After a quiet spell in the middle of the twentieth century, Henry has climbed back into the top ten boys' names in the United States and sits comfortably near the top of the charts in England — rare proof that a name can come back into fashion without ever having left good taste. It helps that nobody has to spell it twice: teachers get Henry right on the first day, and it travels without friction, recognisable from Berlin's Heinrich to Paris's Henri while staying unmistakably itself in English.
Harry, Hal, Hank — what a Henry gets called
- Harry — Not a nickname bolted on later — for centuries Harry was simply how English speakers said Henry out loud, and royal christenings still follow the pattern: more than one prince has been Henry on the certificate and Harry to the entire world. The everyday form, what he'll hear from anyone who loves him.
- Hal — The Shakespearean one — young Prince Henry was Hal to his friends. Rare today, which makes it perfect for the one grandparent or godfather who wants a form of the name nobody else uses.
- Hank — The American take, grown out of the medieval pet form Hankin. Sits naturally next to a baseball cap; in Britain it's the affectionate joke uncles reach for.
- Henners — Pure playground and family teasing — the form that appears around age six and is issued by schoolmates, not parents. Impossible to say sternly, which is rather the point.

My daughters love the book! We read it every evening before bedtime. The story is so sweet and lovingly written, and the pictures are beautiful. My girls feel really special because their own name appears in the book. A great keepsake forever! Absolutely recommend. ❤️
We got the book as a birthday present and it turned out perfectly. The print quality pleasantly surprised me – hardcover, nice paper and illustrations printed in fine detail. The characters are drawn so well that my daughter recognized her sister, me, the giraffe and herself :) She really likes the story and now it’s her favourite book, we read it almost every evening. On top of that, it will remain a lovely keepsake that she’ll come back to even in a few years. I definitely recommend it.
The book was a gift… I’ll find out how happy it makes them… but it’s very beautiful
I have the books ready as a gift, so I’m already looking forward to handing them over
An absolutely stunning book made to order. It's not only a beautiful gift, but a keepsake for a lifetime. Our sons are thrilled. Not only did they find “themselves” in the book, but the whole story also takes place in their favourite place, which is the ice rink. The whole book is accompanied by wonderful pictures, and the dedication from us, the parents, is just the cherry on top. I warmly recommend it. Not only will all the “heroes of the book” be thrilled, but so will you, as soon as you see the book with your own eyes :)
Our daughter was absolutely thrilled, she looked through it several times in a row and declared that it's pretty, she hasn't had enough of it yet and we read it every day before bedtime.
The book is very nice. The pictures look very nice, they're not blurry. The book really made us happy.
Very beautiful book, I always have trouble choosing in a bookshop, something bothers me about every one, or I can't find a theme I'd want.. here I can make up anything
A great, sweet and inspiring book that won us over from the very first pages! ❤️ The story of Алекс and Марая inspired us to go to the forest together, to enjoy the autumn beauty, to learn more about the animals and their food, to collect pine cones, hazelnuts, acorns and chestnuts and to create a wonderful autumn decoration at home. 🍂🍁 We love books that we don’t just read, but turn into real family adventures! Thank you for this magical experience! 🥰
The book is just as I imagined it. It's a present for under the Christmas tree, so we'll see how the grandkids like it ♥
The book for my grandson’s christening arrived and I’m thrilled with it. I’m already looking forward to us flipping through it together as soon as he grows up a little. It’s great that you can also add a favourite thing or toy and it gets worked into the story. It’s great!!!
The book is very nice, it was bought as a gift, so Maťko hasn’t seen it yet

Whichever you type in. The wizard asks for the name the hero actually goes by, and that exact form appears in the title, on the cover and all the way through the story. Henry, Harry — or one on the cover and the other in the dedication, if the family is divided on the matter.
